Children's Sunday School

Sunday School for All Ages

9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Young Children

Nursery - Infants and Toddlers
The nursery is located on the first floor of the Children’s Building.  These little ones learn about God’s Love through the caring and loving hands and hearts of our wonderful paid staff.

Click here for more information about the St. Luke's UMC Nursery, including a map. A downloadable Nursery Info Packet is available here [pdf 700k].

Two Year Olds
The Two Year Old classroom is located on the first floor of the Children’s Building.  Our wonderful teachers use our denominational curriculum to help the children understand Bible lessons, recognize themselves as God’s children, and begin a relationship with their faith family.

Preschoolers
The classroom for 3, 4 and 5 year olds is located on the first floor of the Children’s Building.  Using the curriculum Exploring Faith, our teachers will help preschoolers actively learn and respond to Bible verses and Bible stories and experience the love of Jesus and God.

Kindergartners
The classroom for Kindergartners is located on the first floor of the Children’s Building.  This class nurtures children’s faith development as they: hear action-packed Bible stories that capture their attention, use hands-on figures that enable them to retell the Bible stories, participate in service projects that encourage family involvement, and continue the fun with crafts, games, and snacks that reinforce the Bible story.

Elementary Children
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders meet on the second floor of the Children’s Building.  Our Elementary Sunday School uses the Workshop Rotation model, where one Bible story is explored over a 6 week unit.  Each Sunday each grade level rotates to a new workshop.  Workshops include:  Art, Drama, Cooking, Video, Games/Bible Skills and Computer.  The students learn God’s Word while having fun and making friends with their peers and also with the adult leaders who share in the fun and adventure.

Youth Sunday School

Youth

6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th 11th and 12th Graders meet on the 3rd floor of our main building in our youth area for Sunday School, but are divided into three age appropriate groups. They study a variety of topics including Bible readings and activities that enable them to connect the Word of God with their individual faith journeys.
