St. Luke’s United Methodist Church - Memphis, TN - News

Dear Friends,
This coming Sunday will be very special at
St. Luke’s. We will partake of the Lord’s Supper,
which is always appreciated here. We will have
family members as our guests and call the roll of
our “saints” who passed away during the past year
(October 26, 2007 - October 26, 2008): thirty-six
persons. We remember them and we also express a
deep gratitude for how they helped make St. Luke’s a
faithful congregation.

We also begin this Sunday a three-part
adventure in Christian Stewardship. It is called
“Live to Give” and was inspired by a wonderful
study titled “Living is For Giving” by Bishop Ken
Carder.

Please prayerfully join us in taking these
three steps…
• One: meditate on the Sacrificial Love of
Jesus Christ and the call for all of us to be willing to
make sacrifices
• Two: be thankful for the Talents and Gifts
God has given us that we can share in “Kingdom
Ministry” with God
• Three: boldly make your 2009 financial
commitment for the work of St. Luke’s as we move
toward year three of our Vision coming true!
