The Epistle for March 25th, 2008, is now available. From Pastor Mark’s Epistle:
Dear Friends,
What a glorious Easter Sunday, climaxing a very meaningful Lent and Holy Week! Great THANKS go to all the musicians, actors/actresses, ushers, decorators, liturgists and behind-the-scenes leaders who helped make our worship experiences resonate during this holy season.
Don’t “let go” of Easter just yet. We call it Eastertide, a time to emphasize and celebrate New Life. One of my favorite descriptions of Christian disciples is that we are “the Easter People”. To me, it means that we are called to be true hope-bringers to a world that seems stumbling and lost.
Let me invite you to a two-fold process of continual “Eastering”…
… In your inner life, meditate on what it means for you to glow with the life-giving Spirit of Christ
each day;
… Outwardly, “plug in” to some of the new things happening through God’s Vision at St. Luke’s.
In all things, let yourself be a living way of saying “Alleluia! Christ is risen!”
In service, …Pastor Mark
