The Epistle for Jan. 8, 2008, is now available. From Pastor Mark’s Epistle:
Dear Friends,
We have much to be thankful for at St. Luke’s as we glance back at 2007. Among the many blessings we experienced were a great stewardship outcome in December and finalization of our 5-year Vision in November.
On the former, we are celebrating meeting of our budget in full for ‘07, and achieving (in the very first year of our goal) increasing our Apportionment payment to the Memphis Conference by 10%. We begin 2008 on solid footing, thankful for Larry Kaler’s chairmanship and Mike Nabor’s new leadership of our Finance Committee.
The 5-Year-Vision will then be in the spotlight this Sunday, the 13th. Please come prepared in the Wesleyan spirit to re-dedicate your life to Jesus Christ and truly to give Heart, Mind and Hands with St. Luke’s in the Year of our Lord 2008.
In all things, sorrow and joy, burdens or “freeings,” let us move forward together with humble courage, in the name of the Prince of Peace!
